Pa & Mummy - Exhumation & Cremation on 15 July 2010

No more graves to go to ... but I will not forget you, my beloved parents. Your love will forever lives in my heart.

Pa, I can still remember how poor you were but did not want to deprive me of owning the pianica, a musical instrument, which all my other primary 3 classmates used during our music lessons. You had to pawn mum's jewellery in order to get about $40 for me to place an order for that pianica with my teacher. Pa, do you know that pianica is still with me up till today?

I do not have many fond memories of mummy because she departed much earlier before you when I was only 10. However, I do know about your interesting courtship with her. I enjoyed those moments you shared with me your memorable romances with mummy. Simple but of course exciting in both your own ways during your time ...

Farewell, dearest Pa & Mummy ... I love you.

Mummy's Birthday

Mum's 70th birthday! A time for celebration.

I've known my mum for 39 years. The time I spend with her has far exceeded the time I spent with my natural mum (deceased). She cares for my sister & I since we were little. Always giving & feeding us the best she can, even after my dad has passed away. A virtue I've learned from her is to always be sincere to others & do not expect a good deed done to be rewarded in kind. She is always so contented & joyful . I know she is the kind of mum every child will wish to have & cherish.

Although it was just another dinner with her, I wanted this dinner to be a little special for her. I know she likes novelty eating places, so this time round, I chose a table at Gallery by the Straits, to dine by the seaside.

We could see the sunset & feel the sea breeze while enjoying our dinner. That's definitely something I believe she would have enjoyed & will remember.

I pray & ask for God's grace & blessings in watching over my mum with good health & happiness, always.

Lunar New Year - 2010

Surely this is an annual event no one should give it a miss. This special public holiday is a time for catching up with friends & with extended family members. Busy work & school schedules is already an excuse for many not to make an effort to meet one another on other days. So, on such a traditional holiday, if people still wish to choose to go away for no good reason or just use the special public holidays to laze around at home, I will truly feel sorry for them.

Co-incidentally, the start of this new lunar year, ie 14th February happened to fall on Valentine Day & was also my 4th aunt's birthday. Of course, that called for a triple joyous celebrations.

Yep, so we have welcomed & celebrated 2010 Lunar New Year with a big BANG ... Cheers!
